Vampires meet web3 in a carbon-neutral role playing game driven by the players

San Diego (April 13th, 2022) - Kongregate, a leading first-party mobile game developer and architect of the massively popular web gaming platform Kongregate.com, today revealed Blood Vessels: a vampire-themed community storytelling experience. Partnering with ImmutableX - Ethereum’s leading Layer 2 (L2) fully carbon neutral scaling solution - Blood Vessels will feature unique playable vampire characters in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that players embody to shape the game’s story, leaving their mark on a sinister and dangerous RPG world. Blood Vessels is the first game from Kongregate's new blockchain-focused development team Electric Visions, whose mission is to create groundbreaking games for web3. The game is set during the turn of the 19th Century at the Chicago World’s Fair, a celebration of technology and culture. Players take on the role of vampires that have risen from the ashes of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. Each one-of-one NFT vampire has distinct attributes. Players will work together to uncover the mysteries hidden within the cracks and crevices of Chicago's streets. Hungry for blood and curious about their own origins, it’s up to them to decide if they will move against humanity, coexist, or stay hidden in the shadows.

The playable vampire NFTs will feature unique, hand-drawn art with individual characteristics. Distinct traits include period costumes and historically-inspired diverse characters, and rare vampiric mutations like Necromantic Transfusion or Cell Duplication that grant players unique advantages during gameplay. NFT owners will also have exclusive access to VIP Discord channels where they can talk directly to the game developers and designers, get a behind the scenes look at the game’s roadmap as it develops, and participate in a unique voting system that determines content for future releases.
