Kongregate, in collaboration with Paladin Studios, has announced that Stormbound: Kingdom Wars, the clever collectible card game, is now available for Windows and Mac platforms on Kongregate.com, Kartridge and Steam. The empire has been shattered and four distinct kingdoms have emerged; players will battle for control and charge their enemies with powerful cards that come to life when played.

Stormbound’s innovative gameplay combines the compelling engagement of collectible card games with the calculated strategy of traditional board games. Set on a stunning 3D game board, players construct unique decks based on four factions and attempt to push their units into the enemy base by controlling the front line of the game. With over 100 unique cards to choose from, players collect and test their diverse strategies against others in real-time PVP, climbing the leaderboard and claiming monthly rewards.

Stormbound is free-to-play and will feature Steam trading cards and achievements. It’s launching on top of a recent update featuring four new heroes and the introduction of a new class of cards, Dragons. The PC version will also allow players to experience the game in landscape mode, accentuating the exquisite 2D and 3D artwork. The broad variety of cards and unique positional gameplay in Stormbound has earned the game multiple awards, including Gamescom 2017’s Best Mobile Game at Indie Arena Booth and the App Store’s Best of 2017: Real-Time Competition category.
